Long day of riding today, Budapest was in our plans, we would see mileage to Budapest and thought it would only take so long. but slowly we realized that those distances were only for the freeways were only cars were allowed, the bike trails that were safe actually had to stay along the Danube which ended up going away from our destination by more than 20 kilometers. For lunch we just stopped at a small grocery store, I ordered different types of cheeses and spicy meats, Carmen got bread and we ended up having lunch on the grounds of what looked like a church.
We were tired but had made up our minds that we would ride to our hotel for the night, but it in actuality in Budaors, which was further south by another 10 plus Kms. But we knew that once we reached the hotel we would get up slowly in the morning and ride the buses into town. We rode through a lot of traffic crossing Budapest to get to our hotel, but after finally arriving we were glad we had made the trip and ended up having dinner in our hotel the Holiday Inn Budaors.
