Out trip is almost over, we pack, get on the train to go into Paris, but we have to ride our bikes to Gard du nord to catch a train to get right by the airport. We do our final bike ride through the city, it felt just wonderful, the temperature was great, the freedom of riding in the city of Paris can not be matched by many other places. We get into a very crowded train out of Paris,We get stares because we are in fully loaded bikes, my bike tire rubs on a lady's white pants , she gives me a look of discuss, I apologize.
Because of our bikes, people have a hard time getting out of the train because we are right by the doors and can not move any direction. We hope that as we get closer to the airport more and more people exit the train , but it is not till only 2-3 stops left that the train is almost empty. Nothing like when we came in when we had the train car almost to ourselves.
We arrive to our hotel and ask for a place where we could buy bike boxes, but they did not have many, we thought we would be stuck. But when they take us into the storeroom to put our bikes away , we see some oversize boxes that we could tape up and use qas bike boxes. We had brought a roll of tape from home just for this, we taped up 4 of their boxes to make one of our bikes, but after an hour plus of taping, we put together some nice looking boxes, We had dinner at the hotel and were ready to go in the morning.
