The numbers above represent the days of the month in June and July we were doing the Eurovelo 6 |

In the morning we had breakfast at the campsite of a few pastries and each had our coffee.
We knew we had a long day ahead of us, having to reach Ulm in two days or less. The temperatures were getting pretty warm for the first time. We stopped early at a church and got some more food, we were wearing out fast. By mid afternoon we were looking for a campsite when we came to Wangen im Allgäu, a beautiful town, we asked a couple of locals about camping and they told us it was quite a way, we asked about a hotel and they said the best bet was just outside of town because Wangen was a big tourist town and we would pay a high price to stay in the center of the action. We rode on to the Allgovia Hotel Garni where we experienced something new in the way of checking in -
We went to the door but it was locked, there were instructions in German to call a number. We did not have a phone to make a local call, we got lucky when other guests who spoke English were about to go in, they called for us and put us on the phone. The directions given to me were to enter a code in the box by the door and a key would drop down. Well it did , we got a room number, locked up our bikes and went inside. We were quoted 55 Euros which was good because it included breakfast. Later on that night we walked the town , but most of the stores had closed up early.
In the morning we had a fantastic and filling breakfast and rode on. Now that I write this and receiving our credit card bill , we find that we were overcharged by 30 euros, so we had to have an inquiry into the charge.
