The numbers above represent the days of the month
in June and July we were doing the Eurovelo 6
Picture
Wonderful day today, we are now fully on the EV6, riding along the river, we stop for mid morning ice cream and snacks, we talk to the travelers on the river boats going along the river on a similar route.

The boats travel at about 3 miles an hour on the river, the people we talk to are from New Zealand., they have many locks to go, so its a lot of stopping for them. They tell me that they pay a yearly fee to have the service of someone meeting them at each lock and doing the process for them.

As they arrive at the dock, they have to wait till the water level goes down, before the next lock is opened for them and then move on, while I think it would be nice to spend a day or two traveling this way, I don't think I could travel this slow.

Now that we are on the EV6, there are lots other riders, I am impressed by the number of riders or our age and lots older, most everyone very fit, most European.

We found a great campsite for the night near Basel, but still on the French side called Camping Au Petit Port
, just across the river looking east is Germany and to the other side in the southern direction is Switzerland - this will be our last day in France till the day we have to return to Paris.

Carmen stayed behind and rested while I rode into Germany to get Wifi at a McDonald's, I ended up downloading a couple of maps on Maps.me in the direction we were headed and then back to the campsite, we ended up having a drink at a bar just across the road.
