The numbers above represent the days of the month
in June and July we were doing the Eurovelo 6

First thing we had to take care of was getting our tickets to Basel, after waiting almost an hour to be seen at the train station, we found that there were no more bicycle spots and we ended up having to take the 3rd option to Besançon

Thankfully we had gotten up early to head out to explore Paris after waiting so long at the train station.

We had our museum pass, so this saved us time, we avoided the lines that were outside. We entered through another area and were the only ones in line, we could not believe how quickly we got in and felt like we cheated past other people.

We had a 4 hour visit in the Louvre which was not enough time to see even half of the art. We managed to find the Mona Lisa, and the Rubens, which were top on the list to see. The artwork at times was overwhelming, I personally felt the museum was not as organized as El Prado in Madrid.  The main reason there were different rooms and sections which went in all directions.

We headed out to the Eiffel Tower and on the way found Monet's Orangerie  with the famous wall of Water Lilies.

Once at the Eiffel tower we were turned away at the main gate because we had a jar of jam which we bought for our host in our picnic bag  Robert took the jar and walked to the park flower bushes and hid the jar.  On the way out after taking pictures at the Eiffel Tower we retrieved the jar. Already after walking all over and too tired to walk back to the 10th, we ended up taking the Metro back to our host.

Our hostess was out for the weekend and we were not able to take a picture with her, but we took a picture of our host.
